Tropic Thunder Teaser Trailer

Check out the teaser trailer for Ben Stiller's new comedy, Tropic Thunder. The movie stars Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downy Jr. (as a black man), Nick Nolte, Jay Baruchel, Bill Hader, and more.

Plot Outline:

"Through a series of freak occurrences, a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying."

This should be one of the better summer comedies by far.

Arrested Development Movie In Works

In case you haven't heard, the rumors seem to be true about an Arrested Development movie. Although specific plot details have not been announced, various interviews with cast members have been stating that they are all on board to make the film. We should hopefully be hearing more about this in the near future, but you can almost definitely count on the film being made.

Hancock Trailer

View the trailer for Will Smith's new super-hero movie Hancock.

Michael Cera's New Flick

Michael Cera is now attatched to a new movie titled Scott Pilgrim's Little Life, an adaptation of Edgar Wright's graphic novel series. Little Life follows "some of Scott Pilgrim's most tumultuous weeks: playing inept indie rock, avoiding finding work, and meeting the girl of his dreams and learning he'll have to destroy her ex-boyfriends in mortal fisticuffs if he wants to hook up with her."

Looks good to me.

Jason Segal is Busy

Jason Segal (Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Knocked Up) appears to be pretty busy at the moment. His film Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which he wrote and stars in, will be released on April 18th. Check out the red-band trailer for that here. In other Segal news, it sounds as if he'll be writing the next Muppets movie for Disney. You heard it right, folks. Read more about that here.

How I Met Your Mother - On The Bubble

Variety has reported that CBS's How I Met Your Mother is on the bubble. In other words, it has NOT yet been picked up for a 4th season. If ratings improve, the future will look good for the show. Until then however, fans are left wondering if the show will return this fall or not. CBS did manage to pick up 11 shows for next season, with the only freshman show being The Big Bang Theory. I definitely urge ALL of you to check out HIMYM and spread the word on it, as it truly is one of the best sitcoms on television right now.

Monsters vs. Aliens

It appears that a very interesting Dreamworks animated comedy is in the works, starring Seth Rogen, Reese Witherspoon, Will Arnett, Paul Rudd, Rainn Wilson, Stephen Colbert, and more. It's called Monsters vs. Aliens, and it has a release date set for March 27, 2009. Over a year away, I know...but it is quite interesting none the less. Some more informative information on the film can be found here.

4 More Seasons Planned for Entourage

Doug Ellin, creater of Entourage (A.K.A the best show on cable television), has stated that he has 4 more seasons planned for the show, meaning that it should run through season 8. In addition, viewers should expect to see the character of "Dom" return soon. Dom was a character earlier in the series who betrayed the trust of the Entourage crew after he stole a shrek doll from a party. It turned out that viewers of the show disliked his character, thus explaining his early exit from the show. No word yet on how he will return.

From the article:

"It’s no surprise that Vince and the boys will be romancing their fair share of females come September. What else is in store for the future? A trek out to Joshua Tree, where something a little, um, trippy goes down. Ellin says he has four more seasons of scandalous behavior in reserve, insisting that Entourage will probably run through year eight. How does he envision the show coming to its final end? “I see all four guys getting shot up in a diner.” Genius."

Final Harry Potter Film to be Split in Half

Warner Brothers has announced that the final Harry Potter film - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, is going to be split into 2 parts. The first half should be released in November 2010 and the second half is planned to be released in May 2011.

View the Trailer for The Love Guru

IMDB has posted the trailer for Mike Meyers' The Love Guru. The Love Guru, in theaters on June 20, stars Mike Meyers, Jessica Alba, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson, Verne Troyer, and more.

From IMDB:

Pitka (Meyers), an American raised outside of his country by gurus, returns to the States in order to break into the self-help business. His first challenge: To settle the romantic troubles and subsequent professional skid of a star hockey player whose wife left him for a rival athlete.

Judging by the trailer, this looks like it should be in the same vein as the Austin Powers trilogy. It's been a while since we've seen Meyers in a live action comedy, and I for one am excited.
